Terms of Service
Last updated 3 September 2026
These terms cover your use of Lucid Hire. They apply to recruiters who hold an account and to anyone who applies through a job posting hosted here. Using the service means you accept them.
The service
Lucid Hire lets an employer publish a job posting, collect CVs against it, and see those CVs extracted, scored and ranked against the job description by AI. We provide the tooling; we do not recruit, screen or make hiring decisions on your behalf.
Accounts
You need an account to publish jobs. Keep your sign-in credentials to yourself; anything done through your account is treated as done by you. You must be old enough to enter a contract in your country, and the details you give us during onboarding must be accurate.
Plans and limits
Each plan carries three enforced limits: how many CVs a single job may accept, how many new jobs you may create per calendar month (UTC), and how many AI requests you may make per hour. The current numbers are listed on the pricing section of the home page and in your billing settings. When you hit a limit, the action is refused until the window resets or you upgrade.
We may change the limits or prices. If a change affects a plan you are paying for, we will tell you before it takes effect on your subscription.
Billing
Paid plans are billed monthly in advance through our payment provider, Polar. Fees are not refundable for a period already started, except where the law requires otherwise. Cancelling stops the next renewal; you keep paid features until the end of the period you have already paid for, after which the account returns to the Free plan and its limits.
What you are responsible for
- That you have a lawful basis to upload every CV you put into the service, and that applicants know their CV will be screened with AI assistance.
- That your job postings are genuine, lawful and not discriminatory.
- Reviewing the ranking before acting on it. Scores are produced by a language model, are influenced by the wording of both the CV and the job description, and can be wrong.
- Responding to applicants’ data requests about the CVs you collected, since for those CVs you are the data controller.
What you may not do
- Upload malware, or content you have no right to upload.
- Attempt to work around plan limits, the CAPTCHA on the application form, or any other access control.
- Scrape the service, resell access to it, or use it to build a competing dataset.
- Use the service to make an automated hiring decision without human review.
Your content
Job postings, CVs and everything derived from them remain yours. You grant us only the licence we need to run the service: to store, process, and show that content back to you and to the people you share a posting with. We do not use your content to train models.
Availability and liability
The service is provided as-is. We do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free, and we do not warrant that a ranking is accurate or complete. To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the fees you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, and we are not liable for lost profits or for hiring outcomes.
Ending the agreement
You can stop using the service and ask us to close your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, and will tell you why unless we are legally barred from doing so.
Changes and contact
If we change these terms materially we will update the date at the top of this page and notify account holders. Questions go to [email protected]. How we handle personal data is described in our Privacy Policy.
